Our Own Worst Enemy
We are our own worst enemy when it comes to property tax. We keep re-electing people who have repeatedly voted to shift costs to the local level while reducing state revenues. This article is a thorough discussion of examples of that strategy. It is a nonpartisan piece in that while it lists the years specific actions took place, it does not cast the decisions as R or D. Perhaps it’s more appropriate to call it a bipartisan piece in that we are ALL responsible.
